ONE DAY TO GO - CONSIDER WHAT YOU WANT IN GOVERNMENT

Everyone wants the RAH to be rebuild on site except Mike Rann and his Ministers.
Everyone except Mike Rann and his Ministers can see the sense of the rebuilding policy, for the two reasons – (1) it doesn’t commit South Australians to unsustainable and un necessary debt, and (2) it preserves the location mix of research medical training , university , scientific diagnostic resources. That includes
Save the RAH, (naturally)
Liberal Party,
Community Voice – a coalition of independents, Dignity for Disability, United Party, Parklands Preservation Water Action, Save St Clair , Menatl Health reformers, Save Glenside and so on
DLP,
Family First
Even some individual Greens, Labor Party Members have expressed to us their concern about the Government’s proposal.

It is true that some supporters have different ideas of how the rebuilding can be achieved and how much it would cost .

What is equally true is that the ALP’s hospital price tag of $1.7bn is a huge underestimate even though the Government has the resources and access to the rebuilding detail. It doesn’t include the remediation of the toxic railyard site (quoted to us at $200mill) It doesn’t include the cost of the proposed Research Institute that is supposed to replace the world famous brand of the Hanson Institute which the Rann Government has dissolved this year and sent its director Howard Morris back to his laboratory bench. The cost of separating the Medical School and the Dental Hospital from the RAH hasn’t been even attempted. The cost or reorganizing the delivery of Medical Services which won’t fit in the proposed hospital is not even mentioned.

Yet Messrs Rann, Foley and Hill have the gall to criticize all who oppose their plan for inadequate costing They have the front to intimidate any who oppose them , trying to gag debate and hide the cost and effect of this policy. (As an aside this seems to be proper fodder for an ICAC)

The health of the RAH affects the Health every South Australian , even those who are not geographically close to the RAH , are supported by its offering of medical excellence in every field.
Tomorrow you have the opportunity to contribute to the health of the RAH
TOMMORROW VOTE 1 SAVE THE RAH.
